The power of being present and letting go of resentment (at an ungodly hour)!

The time is 6:15am and I've been up for an hour and a half with my three year old son, Nathan. I used to fight these early morning wake up calls and became resentful (of an unnamed person still sleeping - wink wink). Through my mindfulness practice, I'm able to connect with my breath and let go of negative emotions. When you continue to come back to the present moment (using your breath as an anchor) you can notice that most of the time absolutely nothing is wrong in the here and now! I then choose loving thoughts instead and feel glad for this unnamed person who wakes up refreshed. Try it! That's when everything changes :)
